I really like to paint, it's probably one of my favorite mediums of visual art. When I was sixteen my parents got me a really nice brush set and acrylic paint; I've hauled all of it to and from Vassar these past two years. In such a time of uncertainty, painting stuff that makes me happy has helped me out a lot. These two paintings are both of the same beach in Cape Cod, where my family stays over the summer, one during the morning and one at sunset. They're both from two actual pictures I took over this past summer.

This was from a picture I took at 8 am in the morning. I was with my dad and we were walking my dog, Lucy, who passed away in October. She loved to run on the beach every morning.

This was a picture I took of a beautiful sunset one night over the water, Cape Cod always impresses with its sunsets in the summer.
